Pastor Rema & Karen Spencer

Pastor Rema and Karen Spencer

Pastor Rema and Karen are residents of Wayne, New Jersey for over a decade, where they reside with their three children, Joshua, Jasmine, and Jeremy. Pastor Rema is currently a clinical chaplain at St. Joseph's Hospital, NJ, a graduate of Philadelphia University of the Bible, and Biblical Theological Seminary of Pennsylvania. He served as an associate Pastor and Counselor in the Wayne area for nine years, where he founded the Life Guidance Center. Prior to that he served as a Minister and Counselor in the Inner City for eleven years; Counselor at the Market Street Mission in Morristown, NJ for one year and Missionary to Barbados, WI for two and a half years.

The Team Ministry of this couple is enhanced by the Master's Degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology that Karen completed. She sees this as an open door of opportunity to serve the Body of Christ and the general public. The need in our society is greater than ever. Their vision is to develop a spirit filled "Life Wellness Center." They will work together to help all persons and families obtain wellness of: Spirit, Mind, Body, Relationships, and Finances.

While serving as a Team Associate Pastor, the Lord placed Royal Family Ministries (RFM) into the spirit of Pastor Rema, and in the fullness of His time saw it fit to birth this Ministry in 2007. It is a Ministry that is being defined by Prayer. "For my House shall be called a House of Prayer for all Nations" (Mark 11:17). The Spencers continue to lead RFM by example in prayer.

The passion of the Spencers is to Disciple all people into the Family of God through this Ministry. They believe that this Ministry was birthed, at this critical time, to complement what God is already doing in New Jersey and around the World. The time is now for the Church to unite as one in the fulfillment of the Great Commission before the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Spirit
...no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. Jn 3:5-6 NIV

We experience wellness of spirit when we make life choices that please the Spirit(God) rather than pleasing flesh (self). When we are born again our life purpose is to live for God not ourselves.
Mind
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Rom 12:2 NIV

We experience wellness of mind when we study, meditate and apply God’s word to our daily life. When we live in light of God’s word, our minds are renewed and we can make right choices. We do not have to remain captive to the vices of this world.
Body
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. 1 Cor 6: 19-20 NIV

We experience wellness of body when we do not violate God’s standards of living. When we become Christians, our bodies belong to God. We do not have the right to do whatever we want. Christ’s death freed us from sin, but also obligates us to his service.
Relationships
…clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love… Col 3:12-14 NIV

We experience wellness in relationships when we imitate Christ’s compassionate, forgiving attitude. God’s infinite love and forgiveness helps us love and forgive others. Our relationships can be renewed in love and joy.
Finances
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. You cannot serve both God and Money. Mat 6:19-21,24 NIV

We experience wellness of finances when we do not hoard possessions and spend unwisely. What we treasure controls us and Jesus made it clear that having the wrong treasures leads to our hearts and finances being in the wrong place. Either we store our treasures with God and serve him alone or else we do not serve him at all.
